Farmers’ Market Wedding | Jessica & Darius | Rudy & Marta

A few months after we had the unbelievably awesome engagement session with Jessica and Darius, their wedding day came around.  Winter Park has plenty of cute little venues.  Everything from the Alfond Inn to the Wedding Chapel to The Farmer’s Market.  All of these places are pretty popular with the wedding crowd.  Hence why there’s plenty of character everywhere.  It seemed natural when Jessica and Darius told me they were having a Farmer’s Market Wedding.  It fit their personality and style.  Everything from the vintage furniture that they collect to the party favors.  Everything fit them.

“It seemed natural when Jessica and Darius told me they were having a Farmers’ Market Wedding.”

It was like a day like no other.  The bride got ready and headed over to the Winter Park Farmer’s Market pretty early.  Luckily, the guys were getting ready over at their house, which was no more than a five-minute drive.  Marta stuck with Jessica and I went to Darius until the time of the ceremony.  I can’t speak for Marta and what she was dealing with as far as lighting is concerned, but the light in their house was to die for.  They had huge windows with glorious Golden Hour light pouring in.  It was sincerely awesome.  We were able to knock out some work and get things underway before the Farmers’ Market Wedding.

You could tell that there were a lot of emotions flying around everywhere.  Both the bride and groom’s parents were ridiculously happy.  They seemed slightly nervous, but overall they were beaming with joy.  You could really see it as the ceremony started.  The light was pouring in on the balcony.  There were a couple of moments where people stumbled over their words, but the moment was true and genuine. You couldn’t have planned these little tidbits.  There were tears shed.  Jokes were said.  There was plenty of laughter.  All in all, it was a heartwarming moment.

“Inside, the Farmers’ Market wedding reception area was almost entirely dark.  There were a couple of people aside from the wedding party, so it was pretty intimate.”

It was over in an eye blink.  Then we were inside Winter Park Farmer’s Market and we were taking photographs of the family.  Both Mom’s were crying and there were all sorts of things that happened all at the same time.  Inside, the Farmers’ Market wedding reception area was almost entirely dark.  There were a couple of people aside from the wedding party, so it was pretty intimate.  After that, we had the formals and portraits.  We walked around Park Avenue and had a great time.  A few days before their wedding, we met up and talked about potential areas that we could photograph them.  Everything went according to plan.  It’s was truly flawless.  The only issue that we ran into was that the sun was a little higher than we anticipated.  That was a slight issue that was fixed quickly though.

“Finally, their reception was beautifully decorated.  The Farmers’ Market wedding reception space was perfect for them.”

Finally, their reception was beautifully decorated.  The Farmers’ Market wedding reception space was perfect for them.  There was plenty of space, there was plenty of movement.  Trust me when I say that these families knew how to party.  During the entire night, there were people on the dance floor.  Jessica, Darius, thanks for a hell of a party and allowing us the honor of being there.  Seriously good times!  Check out their images below.
