I love bridal prep. I love to watch the transformation. The hair, the makeup, the gown, the bridesmaids. I love the excitement of the preparation. I know there will be tears of joy, and I love the anticipation. Everything about the prep time is probably my favorite time of the day. After all, that’s the last stage before the happy ending. The princess and her knight in shining armor are to be together, forever and ever. Who doesn’t love that!? But before that happens, it’s just the bride and the girls – the most beautiful and fun portraits ever.

If there’s anything that’s better than a bridal prep, then it would be the ceremony itself. Regardless, nothing is more beautiful than seeing the look of awe and delight when the bride sees herself in her wedding dress for the first time. There are few things in the world that hold more weight, more emotion than seeing the bridal prep. Better yet, capturing it is just as important and emotional. The mother coming into the room. Her tearing up and helping her daughter get ready to be given off to the man that she loves. Seeing that look and that emotion stays with you. Capturing it is what makes us love what we do.

Looking back at some of the images, you can see the emotions. You can feel all the emotions that all the girls were feeling when the transformation was done. You could see the awe in their eyes. But most importantly, you can feel the beauty and love that was felt that very same day through the images. I know it sounds cheesy, but we can’t help but smile when those images come up on our screen. It’s that bridal prep that sets it all up for the rest of your day.
