Intimate Weddings | Etnita+Abe | Rudy & Marta Photography

Intimate weddings are weddings that are seen by photographers as both difficult and easy.  There are pros and cons to different types of weddings though.  This one was a perfect wedding.  Mart and I were so fortunate that this couple found us.  Seriously, from the moment I first met them at Panera, to the amazing engagement session in St. Augustine, to the wedding date, we knew that these two were awesome.

Everything that they did for their wedding day was precious and well done.  Every little detail that was placed that day had a purpose.  There was reasoning in every little piece.  I think that’s one of the beautiful things about intimate weddings.  When it comes down to it, there are just some things that are meant to be more personal.  The bride made it a point to do this, and not the planner.  It wasn’t there to be pretty but to be purposeful.  It just happened to look freaking awesome in the mix of things.

We had never shot before at Harmony Golf Preserve.  We had always been able to imagine what it would be like to shoot at the Harmony Golf Preserve after Etnita and Abe told us what they were working on.  Things started to click once we got there.  There were a couple of spots that were kind of staple shots.  Shots that had simply worked.  Shots that were always part of the photographer’s collection of wedding portraits.

The weather played a very important part in the day that day.  Etnita can attest to this.  The emotions were there during the golden hour in their portraits.  You’ll see down below.  The level of awesomeness was something that we didn’t create on our own.  Etnita and Abe were simply one of those couples that were down to earth.  They talked to us about their story.  Their passion and love for each other.  Their journey wasn’t always the easiest.  It definitely led to one of the most touching and intimate weddings that we were ever a part of.  I can’t wait to see what’s to come.

Abe mentioned a barbershop that he was planning on opening up and getting in the works.  Last I heard, the lease singing was right around the corner.  You bet we’re going to be there for the grand opening.  We wouldn’t miss it for the world.  Especially after being able to photograph one of those intimate weddings that just blow your mind.
