This is a little personal. This is something that will probably offend some people. In the end, it shouldn’t. In the end, love is love. We are all intelligent beings. We’re all different. We all have different likes and dislikes. We’ve all got our own aspirations and goals for our lives. Same sex couples have had so many issues since the beginning of time. All the way to the beginning of time, in my opinion.
As humans, we’re naturally afraid of things that we don’t understand. We attempt to put reasoning and logic over all things. Love isn’t logical. We love people because we just do. I love Marta. Something about her has always made my heart skip. Something about her has always made me feel comfortable and able to be myself. If you find someone like that, hold on. Forget the rest of the world. They don’t know what it’s like. Follow your heart. All I know for sure is that there isn’t any stopping the marriage equality movement. Everyone should be able to marry whoever they’ve given their heart to. Simple as that.
“Same sex couples are feeling more and more comfortable with themselves.”
Same sex couples are feeling more and more comfortable with themselves. There’s same sex relationships on TV. More and more countries and states are finally starting to allow the recognition of same sex marriages. There were some places that recognized domestic partnerships, but marriage is at a whole different level. I was approached by Kathy Thomas of Kathy Thomas Photography in the middle of last year.
We were able to go ahead and click from the get go. She had a beautiful idea of getting together with other vendors and holding a workshop that completely focused on same sex weddings. I mean, this was a big thing. We were able to be a part of a group of wedding vendors that were the first of firsts in a lot of things, but being able to take this course from the Gay Wedding Institute was a very important decision for me. Marta and I were able to go ahead and break new ground for Rudy & Marta Photography. We were even able to be a part of the Local 6 news.
Here are some more shots from that magnificent day. There were some that were shared in the previous article about the workshop as a whole, but here’s some more.
