When Marta and I met Gaby and Justin in Lakeland, we had no idea what to expect. All we knew was that we wanted to meet up with them and talk to them about their wedding plans for Sweetfields Farm. I don’t think they ever mentioned the sunflower engagement session that they were planning at that point. We had some coffee and talked about it all though. We didn’t really talk about their engagement session that much. Gaby and Justin were more interested in our wedding experience and everything that it entails. They immediately knew they were going to book us for their wedding day.
When we started talking about engagement session locations, they knew that Sweetfields Farm was the way to go for them. They wanted to have a sort of test run for their wedding day, which made complete sense to Marta and me.
Gaby & Justin’s Sunflower Engagement Session
When we got there, we almost immediately felt at home. I was talking to Marta as we were walking around and reminiscing about my childhood in Puerto Rico on my grandparents’ farm. The couple that own the wedding venue was so sweet from the beginning. They were willing and able to help us out with anything and everything that we needed during our engagement session. They took us around the sunflower maze and showed us all the unique locations. It was perfect for the feel and look that Gaby and Justin were trying to go towards.
Near the end of their sunflower engagement session, we talked briefly about what else they had in mind for the wedding, including the ceremony location as well as the reception site. All in all, this became one of our favorite engagement sessions to date. We can’t wait for their wedding! Check out their engagement pictures below. Let us know what you think about them in the comments!
