For those of you that don’t know, Marta and I have been in Poland for the past couple of weeks. We’ve been spending time with family, connecting with couples, and looking into venue locations. My brother in law took me out to grab some drinks one night in Poland. Needless to say, that was a fun night. That’s not what I want to talk about, though. What I want to talk about it coffee (or kawa in Polish). Right before the shenanigans started that night, Maciej wanted to take us out to grab some “really good coffee” at Stragan Kawiarnia. Marta and I started to take coffee to a whole other level once Olie was born. I started to understand why parents are always so tired and why coffee was a necessity for many.
We tried to hit up three different coffee shops that night. One of which is on Buzzfeed’s top 25 cafe’s to go to before you die. On Sunday nights, like most places in Poznan, the coffee shops were closing early. We continued the night. Stragan Kawiarnia would simply have to wait for another day.

About two weeks later, Maciej made it a point for us to go to this coffee shop during our quick session.. We had some time before they closed, since it was around six in the afternoon. We raced over there and made it just in time. Thank god the place was open. I have never had coffee quite as good as this. In my opinion, Starbucks has nothing on this. You could taste the love and patience that the barista put into our coffees. My taste buds agree, Stragan Kawiarnia is everything and more that the hype built it up to be. We were pleasantly surprised. Honestly, I wish that we had more time in Poznan to have more coffee from this awesome coffee shop.
If you all are ever in Poznan, Poland, then you have to have coffee at Stragan Kawiarnia.
