Candid Destination Engagement Session | Disney’s Boardwalk | Nitha & Hoang

Nitha & Hoang were a referral from Tammy & Huy, so we knew we were the right fit for each other almost immediately.  Hoang called me from Texas to talk about their wedding.  We talked for over an hour about what they had in mind and what our opinions were.  We talked about what Marta and I regard as good wedding inspiration and ideas.  After a few days, Hoang called us again and told us that they decided to book with us and that they were ready to pay the retainer.  Afterward, we started to talk about their candid destination engagement pictures.

Talk Began of their Candid Destination Engagement at Disney’s Boardwalk

Initially, Nitha and Hoang told us that they wanted to have their engagement pictures at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.  For all intents and purposes, I knew that this could end with a life ban from Disney.  Disney has a strict policy for commercial and professional photography in their theme parks.  So, we started to brainstorm engagement session locations.  I knew that there were a few places that Disney didn’t really care if there were engagement pictures taken.  I told Nitha and Hoang about Disney’s Boardwalk.  They were a little unsure about it, but in the end, they went with it.

When we got there, it was packed!  There were three weddings going on, which is typical for a Disney property on a Saturday.  The normal self-parking was completely full and was officially closed off.  Fortunately, valet was still available.  I went ahead and took my car there and walked in and through the lobby.  I waited barely five minutes and they arrived.  We started to walk around and take portraits almost instantly.  The sun was starting to set, so we worked quickly.  Overall, their engagement pictures came out awesome!  Check them out and let us know what you think in the comments.
