When I met Sara and Jon, I was barely alive. Marta had just given birth to Oliver and I was living off of coffee and leftover lasagna (thanks, Mom). For all intents and purposes, it was one of the worst consultations I had ever had. We met at a wine bar and I had forgotten everything that I needed in order to properly show them anything. We just talked about their ideas for their elegant wedding at Alfond Inn and how Marta and I could help. In the end, we decided to talk more about details afterward through text and email.
“Talk about Sara and Jon’s Elegant Wedding at Alfond Inn begins.”
While talking to Sara and Jon about their elegant wedding, I saw that they were using a hashtag on all of their social media. Interestingly, they were posting #orlandodoesntsuck. I had never heard of that hashtag, nor thought about it. It made it apparent that these two are in love with their town. It showed me that they are people that are involved in the community and what’s going on. I’ve got to applaud that. Especially, with how Millennials are seen by older generations.
After they booked us, we heard that they had hired a wedding planner for their wedding day, Busy Bee Event & Design. It was great hearing all of the ideas swirling around in conversation. For a lot of people, it was going to be a destination wedding. A lot of what was being planned for Sara and Jon’s elegant wedding was something out of a wedding magazine.
“An Elegant Wedding with a Classy Reception.”
Surprisingly, the wedding day flew by quicker than anything else. We followed Busy Bee Event’s timeline to the minute. We were on schedule the entire time. The only thing that I could really complain about was the heat, but it’s Florida. It’s always hot here. The ceremony at the First Congregational Church of Winter Park went flawlessly. The portraits between everything went beautifully. More so because we had family portraits before the ceremony.
Of course, there was plenty of time during the cocktail hour after the wedding ceremony because of that. The reception ran smoothly with a couple of surprises that the bride and groom had for their family. We even had time for some sunset portraits in the middle of it all. Alfond Inn quickly became one of my favorite wedding venues in Orlando. We loved their photos so much that we put them in our wedding gallery. Without further delay, check out their wedding below. Share it if it inspires you.
