Sometimes, we meet a couple and you instantly know that you’re meant to work together. Whenever we go over our wedding process during our consultations, we talk about how unique and custom tailored it is. Sometimes, couples look at me like I have four eyes and others simply get it. It’s awesome when it clicks, but reactions are always different. They either love it and are excited about it or they cry tears of joy at the simple thought of it. The latter is exactly what happened when Joscelyn and Matt talked with me about their burgundy & navy wedding at Legends in Mission Inn.
Before their Burgundy & Navy Wedding
When we met up for their Together Session, we talked about all sorts of things throughout our walk in Mead Gardens. Mead Gardens is one of our favorite engagement session locations. We know where all the awesome photo spots are there. Each time that we go there though, we always find something new.
While we were having their engagement session, I asked them how the planning was going. I asked them if they were going to go with a planner or a coordinator at their wedding. All in all, it was an awesome session and one of our favorites to date.
Photographing Joscelyn and Matt’s Wedding at Legends
The day started out cloudy and rainy. It sprinkled a bit here and there, but overall it was just a gloomy day. When we started photographing the couple outdoors it was just constantly raining. It was pretty bad up until the wedding ceremony was about to begin.
Then like magic, the clouds opened up and the sun popped up for a few brief moments during the ceremony. It was perfect.
Afterwards, the team of vendors worked together to lead everyone to the cocktail area and Marta and I started doing our thing. Everything had a way of flowing throughout the portrait session. We all hit the spots that Joscelyn and Matt wanted to go to. Amy from Mission Inn knew exactly where to go. It was sincerely awesome!
Once we got back to the reception site, the reception began! We went through speeches, a few f-bombs, and dinner. Afterwards, the party started full force. Bay Kings Band knew exactly what to play in order to keep the party going. Everyone was drinking and having a great time.
By the end of the night, Joscelyn and Matt were ready to keep the party going at the lobby bar at Mission Inn. In the end, it was a great time for everyone. Marta and I were so lucky to have been found by such a sweet couple with an even more awesome family. Congrats you all!
