When we met Jillian and Joe for the first time, it was at a Panera. Marta and I had a pretty full day with plenty of consultations with other couples. We talked about their big wedding day and our photography process. Going over our style and process, we also talked about their scenic engagement session in Lake Wales.
Honestly, it was one of the most relaxed and natural conversations that we’ve had in awhile. We all talked about their wedding at Lake Mary Events Center and what ideas they had for an engagement session location. They ended up choosing Bok Tower Gardens for their Together Session, and it was awesomeness!
Photographing a Scenic Engagement Session in Lake Wales
When we met up at Bok Tower Gardens, it was odd. It had just finished raining a little bit, but it was cool. The humidity kicked in. Jillian and Joe were ready for anything though.
There was a wedding going on at the Tower itself, so we definitely avoided it in the beginning. We ended up taking our sweet time heading to the Pinewood Estate. All the construction work that was going on when we were last there was done. From there we took a couple of engagement pictures right in the heart of the Bok Tower Gardens.
When we finally got to the Tower itself, the sun was about to set. There was a small breeze that was coming through, which felt awesome! All in all, their engagement session in Lake Wales was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for better lighting conditions. Marta and I had a great time chatting with Jillian and Joe.
We can’t wait for their wedding next year! It’s going to be so awesome! Check out their engagement photographs below! Let us know what you think in the comments.
Do you know someone that’s engaged? Share this page with them. We’d love to talk with them about their wedding day.
