Secret Garden Wedding in a Historic Inn | Megan and Josh

Megan and Josh were one of those couples that I almost immediately clicked with.  When Marta and I got their contact form, we started talking almost immediately.  We scheduled a call and started talking about what they wanted for their secret garden wedding in a historic inn.

The wedding venue they chose was the luscious and gorgeous Courtyard at Lake Lucerne, also known as the Dr. Phillips House.  It’s nestled right next to the 408 ramp leading to the heart of Downtown Orlando.

Their proposal was perfect and led to their wedding day subtly and beautifully.  Josh pulled all the stops with the Beach Boys Vinyl records and 7 years of dating.  The Beach Boys held a special place in Megan’s heart.  It was the perfect gesture to show how much he cared and loved Megan.

One of the main things that attracted Megan and Josh to The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne was the feeling you got while inside.  They mentioned that the feel of a bed and breakfast was important to them.  They wanted it to feel real and with honest love.

I remember talking to them about their ideas for their wedding day, and how to get the best photos with those ideas.  We kept repeating “candid” and “real” more times than we could count.  It felt like our wedding process was perfect for them.  They decided to use their Together Session as a Day After Session, which Marta and I can’t wait for.

The day of the wedding was partly cloudy with a little rain here and there, but the sun was shining at all the right times.  Either way, we were ready for rain.  In the end, the rain held off and we were able to make the best of it.  It got a little humid at times, but the day in its entirety was awesome.

The wedding really was a celebration of their relationship, how far they’ve come, and where they’re heading together as a couple.  It was their goal after all.  In the end, we had a great time and we wish these two so many lifetimes of joy and happiness.  Check out their wedding photos from the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne.  It was their very own secret garden wedding in a historic inn.
