Marta and I met Haley and her Mom at TheXpos wedding show. From the get-go, Haley knew that we were going to be the right fit for each other, but they didn’t have their wedding venue yet. We suggested a few after talking to them for a bit. In the end, they decided to go with the Ballroom at Church Street. Their Festive Fall Wedding was awesome!
When we met up for their Together Session in downtown Orlando, we started talking about their wedding day. We walked around Lake Eola, which is one of our favorite engagement locations. It was a little chilly that day, but we had a good time overall. We passed by Church Street and got some awesome images. Overall, it was great because we were able to get to know them before the wedding day.
Haley and Jalen’s Festive Fall Wedding at Ballroom at Church Street
The day of the wedding was a whole other level of extraordinary. It was our first wedding there, but we already knew the layout of the venue. We got there a little earlier in the week as well to get a good look at what we were going to be working with in regards to lighting. On the day of the wedding, we go there a little early as well just so we could set up our photo booth and also get a good feel for the venue.
As the wedding planner started setting things up for their festive fall wedding, we started working on things and planning things out. Haley got there first, but Jalen was running a tad bit late. His groomsmen got there before he did and they were ready to go in full suits.
Jalen put on his suit and forgot his bowtie, but one of his groomsmen gave him his. As things started to come together, the wedding guests started arriving.
First, though, we had to do a first look. We wanted to make sure that everything looked as beautiful as possible, but we wanted to also make sure that we captured the venue just the way they wanted it. Marta and I wanted to make sure that we got the best photos possible.
When it came time for the ceremony, it was a bit stuffy in there. The heat inside made complete sense since the ballroom is essentially one big glasshouse.
The ceremony was full of so many tears. Jalen’s dad was officiating and he got choked up near the end of it. Being a dad, I totally got where he was coming from. I don’t know what it was, but that moment touched me differently than most weddings. It was totally weird. You’d think that we’d be used to parents crying tears of joy at ceremonies and what not, but no. It hit home, and it hit it hard.
Ballroom at Church Street Wedding
As soon as it was all over, we started the portraits and tried to take care of them as fast as possible. We wanted to make sure that we took care of everything. With Haley’s dad’s health, we wanted to photograph family portraits quickly. Afterwards, we went outside, photographed the wedding party and moved from there to just portraits of Haley and Jalen.
The reception was awesome! Everyone was on the dance floor, moving to the music. The wedding party and guests knew how to keep the party moving. The doughnut table had people drooling. Once the cake was cut, everyone left the dancefloor and tables for some doughnuts.
From there, the wedding reception held strong until the final farewell. Their grand exit was awesome with plenty of people. Check out their wedding photos from their festive fall wedding at the Ballroom at Church Street. Let us know what you think!
