Waterfront Destination Wedding in St. Petersburg | Kim & Danny

Kim and Danny knew exactly what to do from the beginning.  When they decided to have a waterfront destination wedding at Safety Harbor Resort, they reached out to Kim Tran from Pearl White Events.  Marta and I have talked about how having a wedding planner makes your day less stressful, so the planning process was pretty straightforward.  The fact that they were planning a destination wedding in Florida from Arkansas was enough to warrant a wedding planner and designer like Kim and her team.

On the day of the wedding, Marta and I drove over to St. Petersburg in the morning from Orlando.  In all honesty, the day was flowing beautifully.  Kim was able to keep things on schedule from the beginning to the end.  The room where the brides and bridesmaids were getting ready was one of the cleanest and most organized we’ve ever seen.

The wedding ceremony outside was right on point for time.  When Marta and I stepped outside, we saw that there was a lot of cloud coverage.  This helped with controlling the harsh light that was coming in with the sunrise.  Their first look was quick and to the point, but we tried to keep the wedding dress as clean as possible.  It was a little cool.

The ceremony went fast with a little bit of humor in the mix.  Overall, it was a beautiful start to the day.  The cocktail site and reception site were perfect for everything.  The cocktail hour site was right next to the ceremony site.  Things worked beautifully from then on.  The reception was fun and full of so many awesome moments.

Their wedding was a day before my birthday, so they were sweet enough to give me a beer and make a short speech about it.  It was very heartfelt and something that I didn’t expect.  Then, I was put in the center of the dance floor to do a little birthday dance.  It was awesome and so unexpected.  Needless to say, it was an awesome day full of awesome moments.  Check out their wedding pictures below.
