Grey & White Ethereal Wedding at the Acre | Ivy & Alex

When I first met Ivy and Alex, it was over at the Florida Wedding Expo. It’s one of the biggest expos in Florida overall. They were planning their ethereal wedding just as they were about to graduate from college. In the middle of everything, this couple stood out above the rest.

During our phone consultation, we quickly realized that we were a perfect match for each other. The style that they had in mind for their wedding was perfect for them and us. The way that we work with couples and have candid and emotional wedding photography was perfect for what they wanted for their photos.

We started talking about their Together Session and where we were going to have it.  In the middle of planning things, Alex got a new job out of state and had to move.  They decided to have a one-year anniversary session.  We kept in touch and tried to gather more information about their wedding day as we got closer.  Just like that, their wedding became a destination wedding for them.

Ivy & Alex’s Ethereal Wedding at The Acre Orlando

The Acre fits their theme and style that they were trying to go towards.  When we first met at the Marriott Courtyard, the hotel room was full of makeup kits and bags and remnants of the party from the night before. As Marta and I went around the room photographing details and the makeup being put on, we quickly realized that this was going to be one of our favorite weddings of 2018.

As things started to come together, it was time to head over to the Acre. While we were driving, we noticed that the day was overcast. It was perfect for a venue like the Acre. There are nooks and crannies everywhere that can be utilized for portraits.

When we got there, we quickly went upstairs to the Bridal Suite. We started to photograph details as well as floral while the Bride and bridesmaids were on their way to the venue. Ivy and the rest of the girls went upstairs.

After she got dressed, Ivy did a grand reveal to her bridesmaids. Shortly afterward, the groom and the groomsmen arrived onto the property. They started getting ready in the groom’s room. There was a gift exchange that was full of emotion and anticipated joy.

A Tear Worthy Wedding Ceremony

When it came time for the ethereal wedding ceremony, there was a lot of happiness and excitement all around. During the processional Alex could barely hold in his tears. In all honesty, we were all surprised he kept it together as he watched his Bride walk down the aisle with trembling lips and joy.

Just as Ivy got to the altar, a small rain shower to commemorate the day broke out. It sprinkled for a total of probably two minutes. as the ceremony continued the vows were read. There was an exchange of promises and the first kiss happened. Just as quickly as it came, the rain was gone.

The formals happened very quickly. We had just enough light to do all of the wedding portraits that we wanted around the property. We hit some of their favorite spots. Afterwards, the reception began.

Saying that these guys knew how to party would be an understatement. The reception started off fast with all of the formalities being done right at the beginning. The only thing that was left over was a private cake cutting for immediate family members.

The rest of the night was full of dancing awesome music and good food. The night finished with one big final dance with all of the wedding guests. Afterwards, everyone lined up and they ended it with a sparkler grand exit.  All in all, it was the perfect end to their ethereal wedding.  We loved every second of it.  Check out the pics below!
