Marta and I met Valerie and James for the first time at the Florida Wedding Expo. They saw us for the first time ever at the Wedding Market by the CFWA, but we were so busy talking to couples that they never got the chance to actually talk to us. The moment that we shared that we were going to be at the Florida Wedding Expo, Valerie and James made it a point to find us and talk to us before any other vendor. From the get-go, I could tell that their plum and ivory Wedding in Montverde was going to be one for the books. With Bella Collina as the backdrop, things only got more beautiful from there.
Planning their Plum and Ivory Wedding in Montverde
As things started to get closer to the wedding date, we wanted to reach out to them to schedule their Together Session before we left for our destination weddings in Europe over the summer. They opted for an anniversary session, which is totally understandable with James’s occupation.
Throughout summer we sent a couple of forms asking for some information, which is all part of our experience. We always want the wedding day to go smoothly, so we always ask questions to make sure that we have the best photos possible.
Working with their wedding planner, we were able to get a good idea of how their timeline was going to go the day of. We talked and were also able to ensure that we were able to adhere as close to the timeline as possible.
Their Wedding Day at Bella Collina
All in all, I sincerely don’t believe we could’ve asked for a better wedding day. The weather, though a little hot, was way less hot than the week before. There was about an 80% chance of rain when we looked the week before that pushed into the following days. Everything ran so smoothly on the wedding day. Looking back at it, I am so grateful that they were both into photography, and more importantly, our philosophy of comfort and candidness.
When we were having our portrait session around Bella Collina, I could tell that there was a level of comfort that only people that are photographers can achieve. They know what to do, naturally. In my opinion, it made their portraits easier to do.
The Reception for their Plum and Ivory Wedding in Montverde
From the grand entrance to the grand exit, their wedding reception was full of dancing, laughter, and so much more. Valerie and James have a wonderful group of friends that made their wedding reception at Bella Collina so lively!
You could tell that there was a lot of love and respect in that room. There were plenty of men and women of our United States Military there. We felt so humbled to have been chosen to be a part of such an amazing evening. Our hearts go out to them and their families for their great sacrifice.
In the end, there was a sparkler exit and a
