It feels like forever ago, but Marta and I met Hannah and Nick early this year at a wedding expo. We were hanging out, talking to couples, when Hannah and Nick came into the booth with Hannah’s mom. We immediately clicked. When they were describing their eclectic industrial wedding at Haus 820, we knew that we had to photograph that wedding.
The Session Before their Eclectic Industrial Wedding
When we started talking about where to have their Together Session, there were a few locations that came to mind. At the end of the day though, it was up to them where we went. And they wanted to take photos at their school, the Florida Polytechnic University. If you’re ever driving westbound on I4 and you see that awesome white building on the side of the road, that’s the University.
The inside is restricted just for students and we were blown away by the architecture inside and out. There were so many cool angles and setups that were there. Needless to say, we had a great time photographing those two there. Most importantly, we were able to get a really good idea as to what made Nick and Hannah click as a couple.
Hannah and Nick’s Eclectic Wedding at Haus 820
Marta and I met up Hannah and Nick at Hollis Gardens, in Lakeland. It’s a public park, so there were all sorts of people walking around. Honestly, I think a proposal just finished happening nearby, because there was someone recreating the moment with him on one knee and having them move around the area.
We made space for them to have their first look without anyone nearby. Marta and I did a great job keeping the onlookers at bay. Once the first look was done, we took some portraits around the area and then headed to Haus 820.
Haus 820 Eclectic Industrial Wedding
When we got there, things were finishing up with decor. The coordinator was getting things set up and ready to go. Hannah and Nick, as well as their friends got together for their wedding party portraits. It was awesome because we weren’t wasting anytime, and they were so cooperative.
Next thing you know, things were starting to get ready for the wedding ceremony. Everything was going smoothly. The ceremony started right on time. And just like that, the newlyweds were introduced to the rest of the people there. The Hustons started to enjoy their cocktail hour with their friends and family.
Haus 820 Wedding Reception
The rest of the night was a combination of friends and family dancing the night away with the two lovebirds. Needless to say, there were plenty of emotions, tears, and stories to be told. Hannah’s dad had all of us in tears. He could barely make it through his speech without shedding tears. The happiness that he had for her daughter and new son in law was overwhelming.
By the end of the night, Hannah and Nick kicked everyone out of their eclectic industrial wedding reception and had one last final dance before having their grand exit. Once they had their Grand Exit, the rest was history. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a cooler couple. Check out a sneak peek of their wedding day below.
