This was a bit of a last minute booking for us. We usually book couples around a year out, but we just so happened to have Nicole and Jessie’s wedding date available in our calendar. Marta and I were pretty lucky to have the date available because their vintage chic outdoor wedding was absolutely gorgeous. In our opinion, there was no better venue for their wedding: The Garden Villa.
Getting Ready at the Crowne Plaza
When we met up with Nicole and the rest of her party, we started photographing things almost immediately. Their families were so sweet as they were getting ready for the wedding over at The Garden Villa. There were a bit of nerves leading up to the ceremony, but it seemed like everyone was keeping their cool. We didn’t get to meet Jessie until we got to the Garden Villa. Once we got there, we started photographing the dress as well as any details that were left for the wedding venue.
Moments leading up to their Vintage Chic Outdoor Wedding
When Jessie arrived with his family, it was a very quick and efficient portrait session. He was already fully dressed, so some of the getting ready portraits were set up. Jessie was all about it though. In total, it was probably about three or five minutes total in time that we spent doing his portraits.
After that, the wonderful team of wedding planners made sure that people were away from the reception area by roping it off, and it was so awesome. It was the first time that a wedding planner had done that. The great thing about it is that the wedding guests that arrived early were able to stay out of the area, so it was pristine leading up to the wedding ceremony as well as afterward.
An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
With friends and family surrounding them, these two love birds tied the knot with an amazing playlist of music. Marta and I noticed so many sweet moments. Tears were shed from both laughter and joy. Right afterward, we started the family formals, took care of them and went on with their wedding portraits.
We had such an awesome time with these two. They decided not to have a first look, and it worked out beautifully for them. They let us take some really interesting portraits that allowed us to really get creative with some of the ideas we had during their session. After that, the party started, and boy did they party.
A Funfilled Wedding Reception at the Garden Villa
With food trucks, great music, and an awesome group of people, you could tell that this party was awesome! So much character and dancing. Laughter was everywhere. This was a party! All topped off with a sparkler send-off that was the icing on the cake for the vintage chic outdoor wedding. Check out their wedding photos below and let us know what you think. Cheers to Nicole and Jessie!
