Garden Elegance Inspired Wedding at The Garden Villa

Marta and I met Katie and Ellen at the Florida Wedding Expo, in what feels like forever ago. When they walked into our booth, I could tell that they were the right couple for us. We had a lot of things that were going on at the moment, but the one thing that they wanted to do was go ahead and book us on the spot. We briefly talked about what they had planned for their Garden Elegance Inspired wedding at the Garden Villa. They didn’t want to waste any time or risk the chance that we wouldn’t be available on their wedding date.

An Engagement Session at the Science Center

When we met up for their engagement session, we went to the Orlando Science Center. This is one of our favorite wedding venues in Orlando, so it was perfect for us. We were familiar with the layout of the area and we knew where to go. We had an awesome time walking around and talking about their garden elegance inspired wedding. It was also a great opportunity for us to really get to know each other. Ellen’s sense of humor was something that I didn’t expect at all. It definitely took me by surprise, but it made the Together Session that much more fun.

The amount of beauty in this wedding was off the charts. There was so much raw emotion with all of the stories that were happening. It was like a family reunion on top of the wedding that was going on. Support for these two was obviously there, but there was love on a whole other level. Marta and I love same-sex weddings and this was another reason why. They have a level of emotion that just makes everything that much more beautiful.

The vows that were told, the music that was played, and the prayers that were said all carried so much more weight because of the history that they all had together.

A Wedding Reception at the Garden Villa

These families knew how to party. They were dancing and singing. The kids were running around and having a good time. And the cake was to die for. So delicious! One of the few times that Marta and I seriously considered getting seconds (gotta stick to the diet though).

At the end of the night, the finished it off with a beautiful last dance where friends and family were there with them cheering them on. So to Katie and Ellen, here’s to many lifetimes of love and joy together. Check out a sneak peek from their wedding below.
