The Garden Villa Weddings
The Garden Villa is a bit of a hidden gem that’s been growing over the past couple of years. Originally known as simply the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, The Garden Villa is nestled behind a neighborhood right next to the Mead Botanical Gardens. We have Together Sessions all the time at Mead Gardens all the time, so we’re really familiar with the area.
Why We Love Weddings at the Garden Villa
We love the look and feel of all of the entire venue. After they put in new flooring, the interior space is absolutely gorgeous. Outside, the locations for wedding ceremonies are endless, and the back has just enough of a run-down look to add a bit of variety in regards to the overall style of things. It starts to feel like a completely different wedding venue as we explore the grounds.
Insider Info on the Garden Villa Weddings
The getting-ready rooms are next to each other in the back of the property, which is great if you’re having an intimate wedding. But if you have more than, let’s say, 4 people on each side of the wedding party, then things start to get tight, hot, and uncomfortable. At that point, I’d recommend getting a couple of hotel rooms. You and your wedding party will have more space, and you’ll have a place to crash at the end of the night.
Things to Keep in Mind
Almost everything is outside. You have to keep the weather and time of year into account. If you’re from Florida, then you know when it’s hot and when it’s not. You might need to rent a tent. Another thing, it’s technically owned by the city, so it has to abide by the noise ordinance that’s in place. You won’t be partying until midnight here.
