Venue 1902 at Preservation Hall Weddings have a level of charm that is unlike anything that’s out there. The historic look and feel of the venue are completely awe-inspiring. There are plenty of nooks and crannies with so many opportunities for unique wedding portraits.

Why we love Venue 102 at Preservation Hall Weddings

There’s a lot to love about Venue 1902. Personally, I love the overall aesthetic with its red brick outside and it’s wooden floors inside. One thing that we love is the white walls and ceilings inside. That just makes it super bright and very, very beautiful for the getting ready photos when the makeup artist is putting in finishing touches.

Insider Info on Venue 1902 Weddings

The bridal getting ready room is amazing and has plenty of light that comes in, but be mindful of the lights installed in the room. The lights give off an orange glow, so it tends to clash with the natural light that’s coming in through the windows. A quick fix for this is to shut off the lights when you are getting ready.
On the groom’s side of things, typically there’s not much natural light that’s coming in because of the trees and the way that the light hits the venue around that time of the day.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

Because it’s a historic building, the only way to go upstairs is by stairs. That being said, local code requires some form of an elevator. There is one, but it’s a service elevator. If you have guests that either can’t or have a tough time going up the stairs, then this is available to them and them alone. It’s not available to the general public as it’s in the “back of the house”. It’s not available to the vendors either.
