Destination Wedding Photographer in Warsaw, Poland
Ever since Marta and I landed here in Poland, I’ve been itching to blog about something. Anything! My awesome mother-in-law went ahead and said that I could use her laptop.
*Quick Sidebar* Long story short, our laptop got fried days before our flight, and we couldn’t get it fixed in time to take it with us. Last I heard, the motherboard is fried. I guess it’s time for a new laptop. I kind of like the Samsung that I’m using right now. It’s kind of nice. *End Sidebar*
And we’re back. We landed in Warsaw, Poland. We were supposed to have a connecting flight that would take us from Warsaw to Poznan, but the layover just fell short of 11 hours. Yikes! I would never want to wait that long for a flight when the destination is just a few hours away by car. My brother and father-in-law agreed to pick us up in Warsaw. We landed a little after 8:30 a.m. over in Warsaw and spent the day in Museums and seeing local attractions. Marta and I fought off our jet lag and saw as much as we could. The flight took about 12 hours (that’s with all the connections minus the layovers).

While we were in Warsaw, we went to a world-famous pastry shop, A. Blikle. Tons of celebrities have been there, including Elizabeth Taylor, Pope John Paul II, and even Bill Clinton. It was worth breaking our diet over. Everything was so delicious.

Then we headed over to the Chopin Museum, which was another treat. I’m no rockstar, but I play guitar and appreciate classical music (I used to play viola in middle school). Afterwards, we went to the Warsaw Rising Museum. That was one of the coolest interactive museums I’ve ever been to.

Then we headed to dear old Poznan. The drive was long, and Marta and I napped. When we woke up, we were just outside of the city. Dramatic skies with an awesome sunset over the horizon. It was a very different sky from our normal Florida sunshine.

Once we got to the house, we had a delicious dinner. Salmon, one of my favorites. 🙂

That’s it for now. Marta says that I should save some stuff for later. Yesterday was an adventure all on its own. I can’t wait to share. Anyways, until next time, pa pa. (That’s bye-bye in Polish).
P.S. Tomorrow we should be heading out to Belgium if all goes according to plan, and then Paris.
P.P.S. Let me know what you think of the photos. I’m always trying to improve.
