Wedding Expo! Oh my gosh, wedding expo! Confession time, people. Marta and I have been in business for quite some time (4 years and about 7 months), yet we still have never gone to a wedding expo. We’ve always kind of shied away when it came to them. Many photographers, venue owners, stylists, caterers, and other types of vendors have told us we should go to one of these. I was always afraid that something negative would happen. I was afraid that Marta and I would get everything set up and people would just walk by and not ask about it. Heck, they wouldn’t even look our way. I guess this kind of went back to what I mentioned last week.

Marta and I decided to put our big people pants on and to start taking risks. This was one of them. It wasn’t anything that was too crazy. We had a blast and we met so many nice people at the Winter Park Wedding Expo that was held this past Saturday at the Winter Park Community Center. On top of us going out there, seeing people, and meeting them, we were actually super busy. We were so busy that we couldn’t even talk to everyone that came up to the booth. It’s sad really, but we’ve come to the realization that the next time that we go to any sort of bridal show/wedding show/wedding expo that we’re going to need to enlist some sort of help. There’s literally way too many people that come up at the same time.
I have to say that from an artist’s stand point (if you can call us that), we were so flattered by all the compliments that people were sending our way. Our table was humble, simple, and not too extravagant. We had about one hour to set up our booths, but we knocked our table out in about 30-40 minutes. Some of these people took a little longer. That’s okay. I think that one day, Marta and I will have something that will really scream who we are. That being said, we just tried to have a good time. That was our main goal. And we did.

Over 100 couples came out to the Winter Park Wedding Expo and we met so many people. So many stories waiting to be told. The beauty about it was that we were able to see some good friends in the industry as well. We were also able to meet some new ones. Even some new photography friends. It was truly exciting!
