Disney World, FL | Personal Photography | Rudy & Marta

Hi Friends,

The day started out beautifully.  The sun was shinning.  The air was humid.  It was a typical Florida day.  Marta is a huge fan of Disney.  She’s been a fan since she was a little girl.  Anyways, we decided to go when Maciej (her brother) came to visit from Poland.

Disney Tower of Terror

I haven’t been there in years…gosh.  It was at least four or five years.  Marta and I felt that now would be the perfect time to visit the happiest place on earth.

Disney Epcot

After being hyped about it for weeks, we went.  Completely forgetting that the day we planned to go was smack dab in the middle of Spring Break.  Haha…you should have seen my face when I realized which week it was.  Disney during Spring Break is not for the faint of heart.

We went on all the rides, saw all the attractions, and went into all the gardens.  We were lucky enough to go during the Flower & Garden Festival.  If you haven’t been there yet, you should go.  The butterfly gardens are awesome!

Cocoons

After seeing all of two parks (Epcot and Hollywood Studios) it started pouring like crazy.  It was literally raining cats and dogs.  There had been Tornado Warnings all day (Yikes!).  We ran into the new Toy Story ride to hide from the craziness outside.  The weren’t running the ride or anything because of the weather.  Once it passed we were just 15-20 minutes away from enjoying the ride (it had been stuck at a 90 minute wait all day).  Later on, we walked outside and there was only a slight drizzle.  We were in Hollywood Studios, and decided to go back to Epcot.

Personally, what happened next was probably the highlight of the day.  We went onto one of the boats that takes you from park to park.  Of all things, there was a duck on the bow (front) of the boat.

This guy, Mike, had a whole little presentation about the animals that naturally live in the parks and how they’ve grown accustomed to having people around.

This duck’s name was Plucky.  Then he mentioned having Plucky roasted for dinner.  Plucky flew off the boat immediately. Smart duck. 🙂

Mike then joked about how animals are smarter than we think.  The whole thing lasted about fifteen minutes, but that was the most memorable moment out of the entire day for me.  I know…it’s weird, especially with all the other awesome stuff that was there.  But out of the entire day, this moment just stands out.

All in all, it was a great day and we all had a bunch of fun. We won’t wait four or five years to visit the parks again. 😉 (Marta smiles)

Your friend,

Rudy

P.S.  We also won’t be going to Disney World anytime during Spring Break…it was soooo packed.

P.P.S.  The Moroccan food over there is so awesome!  I might just go for that.  And some ale from England. Gosh, Disney is so awesome! ;p
