Alright, alright.  I am definitely not going to lie to you guys.  I’ve been slacking.  I’ve been slacking big time.  I think the last time that I actually posted something about one of my BirchBoxes was awhile ago.  I think it was back in November.  I’ve definitely had more than one BirchBox hit my doorstep since November.  I will say that some of the things that I’ve gotten have been less than intriguing, while others have sparked my interest.  See PLANT Face Oil.

This month I got something that I couldn’t help but share.  Something that has reignited my passion for these boxes, especially as of late.  The sample that I got that was and is the most intriguing sample that I’ve gotten came with PLANT Face Oil.

PLANT Face Oil | BirchBox: $40

Okay, okay.  PLANT Face Oil.  What the heck is face oil?  Well, in case you don’t know, I have super sensitive skin.  I’ve done everything from juice fruits and vegetables to drinking teas, to wearing mud masks.  Nothing ever really helped except for some moisturizers that I’d have to be putting on every couple of times a day.  I’d quickly run out of a bottle of the moisturizer and have to order a new one before the month’s end.  In comes this PLANT Face Oil.  This is especially weird if you have an oily face.

The whole point of the oil is to moisturize your face while not making your face oily.  Ironic?  Yes.  Does it work?  Heck yes.  You’re supposed to use it right after your use a cleanser and while your face is a little damp.  It’s almost immediately absorbed by your face.  Awesome thing is that you only need one to three drops in order to cover your whole face with it.  Not like moisturizers where you need a nickel sized amount.  Alright, so I’ve been using this for two days and I’ve seen amazing results.  PLANT Face Oil is one of many of their products.  I have little, if any, dryness and my skin feels great.  I prefer using this after a shave.

COOLA After-Sun Lotion | BirchBox: $32

Alright guys.  A big secret that I have to share with you is that I’m pretty white.  I’m a white Puerto Rican.  I avoid sun, because I don’t tan.  I simply turn red.  Obviously, I don’t ever really do well when it comes to the whole tanning bit.  I turn red, I burn, I peel.  Disgusting.  That being said, I haven’t actually used this product.  Do I doubt what it’s capable of?  No.  So far BirchBox hasn’t really steered me wrong yet.  I’ve only been disappointed once or twice, so I can safely assume that this lotion will work well for what it does.  I think that using this with PLANT Face Oil will work out well together.

Ministry of Supply Atmos Base Layer | BirchBox: $38

This shirt is amazing.  It’s a little loose for me, especially seeing that it’s a medium.  I think it’ll shrink once I wash it.  It’s apparently the “result of high tech experimentation”  there’s a list of what’s been done to make this shirt as cool as it is on the BirchBox website.  I can say that it does keep me cool on hot summer days.  Very flexible, and very comfortable.  Highly recommended, especially for the active person.

Histoires De Parfums 1969 | BirchBox: $125

I opened this box and was excited for a new cologne.  That being said, I was ready, willing, and immediately put it on to try it out.  I opened the little bottle that it came in, and my gosh I was not a fan of it.  It immediately smells of white musk and rose.  There’s supposedly hints of peach in there as well, but the musk over powers everything.  I gave it a shot in hopes that my pheromones would blend in with it.  Overall, the scent is not my style, nor is it something that I enjoy.  It’s very “douchebaggy”.

Alright.  This is actually really, really cool.  Growing up, I had all sorts of candy.  One of the most iconic candies that I loved growing up was the Pop Rocks candy that would pop in your mouth the moment that it hit your tongue.   This combines the love and fun of Pop Rocks with the ability to fight odor-causing bacteria.  The accomplish this by using zinc and IsoVoxy.  I’m no scientist, but holy crap this works.  I was so surprised when I first tried it.  I hadn’t brushed my teeth that morning and had a decent breakfast.  After eating I went to go grab my sample pack instead of brushing my teeth.  I was so amazed with the results!  Seriously a good product to try from BirthBox.

Alright, so I have to say that my favorite out of everything was PLANT Face Oil.  It’s seriously some of the best moisturizing….oil…that I’ve ever had.  It just works well.  I’ve been so impressed with the results.  PLANT Face Oil is by far one of my favorite facial moisturizers from BirchBox to date.  Chances are I will probably buy this for myself.  It’s easy to use and lasts all day long.  Highly, highly recommended.  In fact, I could definitely see myself buying myself PLANT Face Oil to use after this BirchBox.  It’s just that good.
