This was our first wedding in a Buddhist Temple. It was a new endeavor, so we embraced it in full. Let’s just say that I had a blast there. It was shortly after Olie was born, so Marta wasn’t able to make it and was on maternity leave. Jessica was nice enough to help us out and cover for Marta. I was able to help with Jessica in second shooting for her and her couples’ weddings.
The day was long. We started coverage at noon at the Chua Bao An Buddhist Temple. Though it was midday, we were able to get some really interesting photographs of the temple and the couple. The food after the ceremony was delicious. We were able to try some authentic, Asian Cuisine. Needless to say, I was blown away. Without finishing our meals, we started working on photographing the exchanging of letters to each other, which was one of my favorite moments of the day. The tears were genuine and full of joy.

These are some of my favorite images of the day. There was so much joy and emotion throughout the day. Throughout everything, this was the most genuine. The rest of the day went through a blur, we headed to the Orlando Museum of Art and kept the party alive there. The party was truly one to remember. To this day, Marta and I still talk about Tammy and Huy, their sweet nature, and genuine hearts. We can’t wait to see what life has in store for them.
