We were sold the moment Caitlin from Plan It Events started talking to Marta and me about her Gold & Navy Sorority Wedding Inspiration. We love working with planners and seeing their visions come to life. There was a lot of history here with the vendors that were participating with the styled shoot. Many of them were members of the sorority that the styled shoot was inspired by.

Mission Inn was the perfect location for this wedding inspiration styled shoot. The decor fits beautifully with the Old Florida feel. There were a couple of hiccups with timing and the scare of rain in the afternoon, but it all worked out beautifully. The venue itself is perfect for our wedding experience. Mission Inn is great for hosting Old Florida Destination Weddings & Elopements. The resort portion of the property is beautiful with its relaxing atmosphere. It’s well worth a look.

Inspiration Behind the Gold & Navy Sorority Wedding Shoot

Hues of blue and gold were the main colors, playing off the dark blue & light blue colors of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Since their symbols are the owl, key, fleur de lis, and iris, we took that and ran with it! The wedding ‘guest book’ is a play off of the famous Ponte des Artes bridge in Paris.

The names of the sorority’s founders were on some of the place cards. The Bride & Groom names were Leah & Landon, in short- L&L. This is an endearing term used in correspondence between sisters. The Save the Dates were printed with a wise owl on them. The outdoor ceremony programs contained the lovely iris, and the invitation had keys as the focal point.

When it came to planning our vision, we wanted to make sure we had only the best vendors on board, who we knew would carry out our plan perfectly! We planned & executed everything in a little over a month. It was great to have so many talented professionals on our team. All of them were willing to incorporate our ideas while adding twists of their own. It definitely allowed everyone to collaborate & show off their own talents in a fun way.
