Bok Tower Garden Weddings
Marta and I fell in love with Bok Tower Gardens years ago. We went there on the recommendation of a friend who is also a photographer. When we got there, we had no idea what to expect. Mind Blown is probably the easiest way to explain how we felt when we got there for the first time. We paid for our tickets and walked in. We were almost instantly in awe of the natural beauty in the garden. Almost all Bok Tower Garden Weddings are outside and full of greenery.
Why we Love Bok Tower Garden Weddings
The place is constantly being improved or renovated. There are so many things that have been added over the years. One thing that is awesome is that there are different things blooming at different times of the year. This gives the entire garden a different feel at different points of the year. There are different colors that are accentuated as well. On the road leading up to the gardens, there are empty fields that are open with the tower in the distance. There are dried tall grass and trees that we can take wedding pictures at sunset. The sunlight will light everything up with an orange glow. This is also one of our favorite engagement session locations.
Insider Information on Bok Tower Gardens
The majority of the time, the people that help on the wedding day here are volunteers. They come to help during the ceremony and that’s about it. We would recommend having a wedding planner just to make sure that you have all your bases covered. Something that Marta and I found out the first time that we went to the gardens was that the Tower itself is an instrument. I always geek out over it. It’s so freaking cool!
Things to Keep in Mind
You’re going to have to bring in a lot of things that you’re going to want for the ceremony. For us, this alone was a reason to have a wedding planner. It’s a garden, so there will be plenty of mosquitoes and even ticks. Bring bug repellent.
