I will be the first to tell you that I suck at SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I’m serious. I have little if any skill or knowledge when it comes to it. When it comes to wedding photography, people usually go with what they see first. They stick to it, and they trust it. I guess this could apply to more than just wedding photography, but you understand where I’m coming from. It doesn’t matter what kind of photography, business, or website you have. SEO is important, simple as that.
When I first started out with Marta, I had a friend approach me about the SEO on our website. I didn’t really consider SEO to be that important. Here we are, almost two years after the show has begun thinking about SEO. Haha! It’s nice to see that I’m getting my priorities in order.

One day my friend across the pond in the UK posted a status on Facebook that her website was on the first page of Google. To me, that was quite some achievement. It’s pretty easy to say that when you search for a service or product that you usually go to the websites that are top 5 on the first page. That’s where anyone with a website wants to be. I went ahead and contacted Phoebe (my friend in the UK) and she gave me some great advice. All I can say is here goes. I’ve been implementing it for the last couple of weeks and so far it’s been working. Then again, practice makes perfect. We’ll see where it all goes. So far it’s been going the way we want and I hope it continues to go that way. It’s a hard work but will pay off in the end. A big thank you to Phoebe at Miller Weddings.
