Yuan and Bass were referred to us by our friends over at Orlando Wedding Designers. When we met up for the first time, we went to the newer Fox Tail in downtown Orlando. We started talking about their day and what they had in mind. We joked around a bit on things like old friends. Then we started talking about their multicultural wedding that they had planned and wanted to have at the Hyatt Regency. After that, things started to go smoothly.
An Engagement Session in Winter Park
Their Together Session in Winter Park was fun. We took paths that most couples wouldn’t go towards. As we were walking around, I was asking them how planning was going. We talked briefly about what they had planned and their experience so far. The cool thing was that they were pretty much up for any and all of the prompts that I had for smooth and easy posing. Their portraits came out awesome!
Yuan & Bass’s Multicultural Wedding at the Hyatt Regency
I think it goes without saying that Yuan and Bass had a beautiful wedding. So many of their loved ones had traveled from all over the country and world to see them marry each other in happiness and joy. Their unique take on incorporating both traditional and modern aspects of their wedding day was amazing. They decided to have a first look, but still wanted to have a traditional ceremony in a church.
There was a bit of an awkward moment when the power went out during the ceremony. I remember Bass giving me a look like, “What’s going on with the lights?” Apparently, a transformer blew up outside of the church. The videographer saved the day by setting up their lighting, so we were all able to still capture the ceremony. I only wish that we could’ve used our flash system for better lighting, but it is a church and there was only so much we could do.
Wedding Reception at Hyatt Regency
Their reception was full of dancing, music, and moments full of laughter. Bass has amazing friends and family that stepped up to the plate to deliver some truly funny, but touching speeches at the beginning of the reception. Closely after that, it was all party time. Our coverage ended in the middle of the reception, but you could tell that their multicultural wedding was going to be an amazing night. Check out a sneak peek of their big day.
