Destination Wedding in Montverde, FL | Corrine & Shaun

It seems like it was so long ago when we met Corrine and her family.  We first met at the Central Florida Wedding Association‘s  Wedding Market.  We had plenty of time to talk about all the details they had planned for their destination wedding in Montverde, FL.  Planning their wedding from New Hampshire was a challenge, but their wedding planner helped make it all happen.

The Rehearsal at Bella Collina

Leading up to their destination wedding in Montverde, FL, we talked a bit with Corrine as to how she would like to use her Together Session.  We finally came to an agreement, which can always be a little tricky with Destination Weddings.  Once that was done, we had their rehearsal to go over.  The Saturday before their wedding day, we headed to Bella Collina to attend the rehearsal, get familiar with how things will go, and meet more of the family as well.

It was super hot, going there midday was a necessity, but it was full sun the entirety of the day.  Needless to say, things happened quickly and efficiently.  The wedding planner didn’t waste any time at all, and neither did the family.  After a quick sunburn, we all split up and headed our separate ways in order to prepare for the following day.

Corrine and Shaun’s Destination Wedding in Montverde, FL

The day of the wedding was a few degrees cooler.  Not much, but enough to make it bearable for the guests that were in full suits and gowns.  Getting ready, things were smooth and quick.  Marta and I wasted no time getting things going.  We photographed the dress and details as quickly as possible in order to keep the timeline on schedule.  Aside from a few hiccups and wardrobe issues, things ran on schedule.

Corrine and Shaun’s first look was so sweet.  I had only met Shaun the day before at the rehearsal, but I could tell he was a character.  Funny and witty are only a few of the words I’d pick to describe him.  Paired up with Corrine’s sincerity and touch of sarcasm, the two were in separable.  Their first look reflected that.  Passion, butterflies, and emotion were everywhere.  Shortly afterwards, we wasted no time taking portraits around the property.  We did was we could in the allotted time, and made the magic happen.

Their Wedding Ceremony at the Grand Lawn

When we talked at the ceremony rehearsal, people were a little worried about the sun and how it landed on the Grand Lawn.  This was where the ceremony was going to happen, and the last thing people wanted to do was to sit 30 minutes in the scorching sun totally dressed.  I 100% understand why people were worried about it.  It’s hard to predict the weather when planning a destination wedding in Montverde, let alone anywhere in Central Florida.  Since we’ve been there before in the past, I reassured them that everything that was going to be fine.

When the ceremony began, about half or two-thirds of the people that were sitting were in the shade.  By the end of it all, they were all in the shade and the sun was behind the building.  Everything happened so fast and quickly.  tears were shed.  Shaun said that if it wasn’t for the first look to help calm him down, he would’ve lost it in front of everyone.

Corrine’s uncle was officiating (for the first time ever!) and he knocked it out of the park.  He did a great job relating to the guests, Corrine and Shaun, and keeping things light-hearted or serious when needed.  It was a great ceremony that was perfect for them as a couple.

Wedding Reception at the Bella Collina Formal Ballroom

The reception started with a bang.  Everyone came in and sat down, quickly followed by Corrine and Shaun being introduced.  The started off immediately with the first dance.  From there, dinner was served and speeches were followed soon after.

The dancing started slow.  There were a few people here and there that joined Corrine and Shaun, but it was a slow start.  As the night went on, more and more people joined on the dance floor.  The music definitely got more and more fun.

Corrine and Shaun finished off the night with a private dance and sparkler exit that was full of so many people.  It was such good times.  Marta and I had so much fun with these two and all of their friends and family.  Check out some of the photos from their awesome destination wedding in Montverde, FL.
