Whenever Marta and I meet up with couples and have a consultation, we present our Wedding Collections. We go over each Collection and talk about their components. As we go through every one of them, we are always asked, “What is a Together Session?”
Our Together Session is in each one of our Wedding Collections, so it makes sense that people would wonder what it is. More importantly, should you even have one in your Collection?
What is a Together Session?
A Together Session is a flexible session. Engaged couples can use the session in a bunch of different ways. Let’s go over all the possibilities together.
1. Engagement Session
An engagement session is the most common way to use a Together Session. This type of session is the one that we recommend the most. We’ll spend some time talking about when and where you should take your engagement pictures too.

Engagement sessions let us get to know each other and how we work before the wedding date. It’s also a great way to see what helps you get those wedding pictures that you love. It’ll help get you the best wedding experience possible.

2. A Day After Session
This is also known as a Post Wedding Session or Trash the Dress Session. It’s a great option if you’re having a destination wedding. After the wedding day, we meet up and talk epic photographs of you two around the city that you got married at. It’s great for capturing you two around an exotic location that we wouldn’t normally be able to go on your wedding day.

It’s a great back up plan as well. Sometimes, the weather just doesn’t work out, or your wedding timeline gets messed up. Having those wedding portraits without the weather or time holding you back can take away a lot of pressure. It keeps things stress-free for some newlyweds.

3. Anniversary Session
We all have busy schedules. When planning a wedding, things can get hectic, so sometimes that session isn’t something that’s used at all beforehand. An Anniversary session is a good way to celebrate your first year together.

We meet up about a month before your anniversary date and have a photo session. On your anniversary we release the gallery to you two to help celebrate the first year together! The Together Session such a nice way to help celebrate.
Conclusion
Together Sessions are a way for us to connect with our couples. We want to make sure that there’s a moment without the craziness of the wedding day where we can just be. All we look for is a small moment where you two connect and remember why you two are together. We want you to look at these images and remember the emotion you felt at that exact moment, together.
